Reception have got their own web pages here and here…have a look if you get chance.  We made a great film with Nursery…READING FILM, this is also worth a look.  Our new topic is ABRACADABRA and we have been doing some magic – Jack managed to keep Mr Lock on the ceiling for over ten minutes and Molly ‘magiced’ a frog in Mrs Bracey’s cup of tea.  We have been involved in Marbling and model making.  Our classrooms have castles and greengrocers and we have used Jack and the Beanstalk as a starting point for learning.  We will be visiting Caerphilly Castle on a trip soon and we hope there are no giants in there, although Mrs Page has asked if she can keep any golden hens we might find.  More news to come next time….

In anti-bullying week we have been writing poems about bullying.  Here is Kiah’s poem:

Bullying

They were as nasty as ever

But they weren’t very clever

I was afraid to come to school

Because I probably looked like a fool

I came home crying and sad

But also I felt kind of mad

They hit and kicked me all day long

I tried to cheer myself up by singing a song

They used to call me names

And would not let me play their games

They are bullies not friends

I think they will bully right to the end.
